Stichting BeHoCa ondersteunt zoveel mogelijk straatkinderen in Kenia om het straatleven achter zich te laten, zodat deze manier van leven geen belemmering meer zal vormen voor het opbouwen van een gezond en kansrijk volwassen bestaan.'

Meer dan 250.000 kinderen zwerven rond in de straten van Kenia. Doelloos en zonder toekomstperspectief. Deze kinderen hebben hulp nodig want geen één kind hoort thuis op de straat. Alle kinderen hebben recht op een jeugd waarin zij zich geen zorgen hoeven te maken en waarbij zij zich geborgen voelen en liefde ervaren. Een jeugd waarin het kind rechten heeft maar ook plichten en waar naar het individu wordt gekeken. Een jeugd waarin zij in alle vrijheid en veiligheid kunnen ontwikkelen en ontplooien.
Kinderen zijn overal ter wereld de “zwakkeren” van de samenleving. Vooral kinderen zonder ouders of verzorgers staan zwak. Zij hebben iemand nodig die voor hen opkomt en zorgt dat ze datgene krijgen wat ze nodig hebben en waar ze recht op hebben.

Stichting BeHoCa zet zich hiervoor in en neemt zoveel mogelijk straatkinderen op in hun tehuis (eerste project) waarbij de kinderen voldoende gespecialiseerde hulp en ondersteuning wordt aangeboden. Dit zodat de kinderen zichzelf weer open durven te stellen om te durven dromen, om te durven veranderen, om te leren en te groeien, maar vooral… om weer kind te durven en mogen zijn!

Who pays for the donation?

The brand covers the cost, so you pay nothing extra. For each purchase, you decide which cause receives your free donation.

Brands pay us a commission when you shop through ShopDonation. We turn that commission into a donation for your chosen cause.

How much will the donation be?

That depends on the commission of the brand: you see the percentage or fixed amount below every shop logo.

Do I pay more when using ShopDonation?
No. You pay exactly the same amount as if you went directly to the store's website.
Why would the brands pay for the donation?
The brands reward us every time we bring a customer to their website, and we share the commission we receive as a donation to your chosen cause. The funds come from their marketing budget, similar to what they'd spend on online ads.

Brands don't pay anything upfront; they only pay a commission after a purchase has been made. Each brand sets its own commission rate.
Can I even save money when using ShopDonation?
Yes! We negotiate exclusive deals, promotions and discounts with our affiliated brands, so you can even save money by shopping through ShopDonation.
Will you share my data with any commercial third parties?
No. We never share data with any third party that isn't necessary for ShopDonation to work. We don't share any data with brands, not even with the cause you support.
Which brands are available on your website?
Many popular brands work with us, including Booking.com, AliExpress, eBay and many more. See the full list on our shop overview page.
Will using ShopDonation impact my loyalty points at brands I shop at?
No, you earn the same loyalty points as when you go directly to the webshop.
How can I verify that it really works?
Both shoppers and causes can see all transactions and track funds raised in real time. Each donation shows exactly when it has been paid out. Try it yourself: make a purchase and you'll receive a confirmation of your donation.
Is your service also available in other countries?
Yes, we are currently the only provider of this service in multiple countries, so causes can receive recurring funds from supporters worldwide. See which countries are live on shopdonation.org.
How much can causes earn?
A regular shopper generates around $5 per month on average, comparable to a regular monthly donor but without the recruitment costs. Businesses can generate between $100 and $500 per month. Our top shoppers have raised more than $2,000 for their cause in a few years.
What if I see a brand that I don't like on your website?
Causes can disable any brand for their shoppers. Ask the cause to disable the brand; it will then no longer appear when that cause is selected.
