Iedere dag zijn er ongeveer twintig kinderen in Nederland die een vader of moeder, broertje of zusjes verliezen door een overlijden. Dit betekent dat jaarlijks 7000 kinderen in de leeftijd van 0-18 jaar te maken krijgen met de dood van een dierbare in het gezin. Stichting Achter de Regenboog ondersteunt sinds 1993 kinderen en jongeren bij het verwerken hiervan, zodat deze gebeurtenissen geen belemmering vormen om een gezond volwassen bestaan op te bouwen. Hiervoor organiseert ze lotgenotencontact in de vorm van kinder- en gezinsweekenden en -dagen, er is een Informatie &amp; Advieslijn waar iedereen met vragen over rouwende kinderen naar toe kan bellen en er is een forum waar kinderen, jongeren en volwassenen hun verhalen kwijt kunnen. Achter de Regenboog wordt niet gesubsidieerd en is volledig afhankelijk van inkomsten uit donaties, sponsoring en fondsenwerving. Achter de Regenboog werkt vanaf medio 2005 volgens de financiële parameters van het CBF en de daarbij behorende criteria. Begin 2011 verwerft AdR het Certificaat voor Kleine Goede Doelen. De stichting wordt sinds 2008 door de Belastingdienst aangemerkt als een Algemene Nut Beoogde Instelling (ANBI).

No. You pay exactly the same amount as if you went directly to the store's website.
Why would the brands pay for the donation?
The brands reward us every time we bring a customer to their website, and we share the commission we receive as a donation to your chosen cause. The funds come from their marketing budget, similar to what they'd spend on online ads.

Brands don't pay anything upfront; they only pay a commission after a purchase has been made. Each brand sets its own commission rate.
Can I even save money when using ShopDonation?

Will you share my data with any commercial third parties?
No. We never share data with any third party that isn't necessary for ShopDonation to work. We don't share any data with brands, not even with the cause you support.

No, you earn the same loyalty points as when you go directly to the webshop.
How can I verify that it really works?
Both shoppers and causes can see all transactions and track funds raised in real time. Each donation shows exactly when it has been paid out. Try it yourself: make a purchase and you'll receive a confirmation of your donation.
Is your service also available in other countries?

How much can causes earn?
A regular shopper generates around $5 per month on average, comparable to a regular monthly donor but without the recruitment costs. Businesses can generate between $100 and $500 per month. Our top shoppers have raised more than $2,000 for their cause in a few years.
What if I see a brand that I don't like on your website?
Causes can disable any brand for their shoppers. Ask the cause to disable the brand; it will then no longer appear when that cause is selected.
