LOEK@YOU is van mening dat alle kinderen en jongeren, gezond en veilig moeten kunnen opgroeien. Hierbij hoort in onze ogen ook het leerrecht wat in Nederland van kracht is. Toch is dit niet voor elk kind of elke jongere zo vanzelfsprekend. Onderwijs zou in onze ogen leuk moeten zijn, nuttig en leerzaam maar voor menig kind is onderwijs in Nederland, moeilijk, onveilig of zelfs heel erg zwaar. Het is zelfs zo, dat in Nederland duizenden kinderen en jongeren thuis zitten omdat er geen passend onderwijs is voor hen. Op deze manier worden kinderen en jongeren uitgesloten van het leerrecht, het Wel-Zijn van deze kinderen wordt aangetast en sommigen worden er zelfs ziek van.

De bovenbeschreven doelgroep is een inspiratiebron voor het team van LOEK@YOU. Voor een kind/de jongere is niet gemakkelijk om dit mee te maken in de jonge jaren. Daarom vinden wij het beter om dit soort situaties zoals escalatieproblemen en (vroegtijdig) schooluitval te voorkomen.

MISSIE

Voor kinderen en jongeren die extra ondersteuning nodig hebben op school óf Kinderen en jongeren die in die uitzonderlijke situatie zitten waarin zij niet mee kunnen doen in het onderwijs, bieden wij de mogelijkheid om te Leren Op Eigen Kracht waarbij Wel-Zijn en ontwikkeling hand in hand gaan.

Stichting LOEK@YOU stelt zich ten doel:

a. Kinderen en jongeren, waarvoor deelname aan (passend) onderwijs geen vanzelfsprekendheid is te helpen, zodat het welzijn, ontwikkeling en maatschappelijke participatie van die kinderen en jongeren binnen hun mogelijkheden tot volledige bloei kunnen komen.

b. Ouders te ondersteunen bij hun zoektocht naar begeleiding op maat voor deze kinderen op de domeinen onderwijs en zorg.

c. Het toegankelijk maken van voor deze doelgroep specifiek benodigde faciliteiten en omgevingen aan de kinderen, jongeren en hun begeleiders

d. Het geven van voorlichting aan, het delen van kennis met, en bieden van ondersteuning aan organisaties en professionals op de domeinen onderwijs en zorg om de positie van die kinderen en jongeren te verbeteren.

e. Het verrichten van alle verdere handelingen, die met het bovenstaande in de ruimste zin verbandhouden en daartoe bevorderlijk zijn

Who pays for the donation?

The brand covers the cost, so you pay nothing extra. For each purchase, you decide which cause receives your free donation.

Brands pay us a commission when you shop through ShopDonation. We turn that commission into a donation for your chosen cause.

How much will the donation be?

That depends on the commission of the brand: you see the percentage or fixed amount below every shop logo.

Do I pay more when using ShopDonation?
No. You pay exactly the same amount as if you went directly to the store's website.
Why would the brands pay for the donation?
The brands reward us every time we bring a customer to their website, and we share the commission we receive as a donation to your chosen cause. The funds come from their marketing budget, similar to what they'd spend on online ads.

Brands don't pay anything upfront; they only pay a commission after a purchase has been made. Each brand sets its own commission rate.
Can I even save money when using ShopDonation?
Yes! We negotiate exclusive deals, promotions and discounts with our affiliated brands, so you can even save money by shopping through ShopDonation.
Will you share my data with any commercial third parties?
No. We never share data with any third party that isn't necessary for ShopDonation to work. We don't share any data with brands, not even with the cause you support.
Which brands are available on your website?

Will using ShopDonation impact my loyalty points at brands I shop at?
No, you earn the same loyalty points as when you go directly to the webshop.
How can I verify that it really works?
Both shoppers and causes can see all transactions and track funds raised in real time. Each donation shows exactly when it has been paid out. Try it yourself: make a purchase and you'll receive a confirmation of your donation.
Is your service also available in other countries?
Yes, we are currently the only provider of this service in multiple countries, so causes can receive recurring funds from supporters worldwide. See which countries are live on shopdonation.org.
How much can causes earn?
A regular shopper generates around $5 per month on average, comparable to a regular monthly donor but without the recruitment costs. Businesses can generate between $100 and $500 per month. Our top shoppers have raised more than $2,000 for their cause in a few years.
What if I see a brand that I don't like on your website?
Causes can disable any brand for their shoppers. Ask the cause to disable the brand; it will then no longer appear when that cause is selected.
